"369 Gang Chant" during Sing-along is Fake as Audio was Superimposed onto Video

Instagram post showing a video of boys during the Sing-along using it as an opportunity to 'sing' the '369' gang chant.

It was in fact.....A FAKE video which was actually an audio clip which hailed from 2016 was superimposed onto a video to make it look like the "369" chant was sung during the Singapore Sing-along.

They probably did it thinking it was humorous. The sing-along had Singaporeans of all ages spreading some cheer in the middle of Singapore's battle of life and death over the COVID-19 outbreak. This was uncalled for.

Under the Societies Act, anyone convicted of being a member of an unlawful society such as a gang or secret society may face a fine not exceeding S$5,000, a jail term of up to three years or both.

PM Lee to Implement Lockdown on Singapore is FAKE news

Netizens must take note that there are online rumors circulating regarding various distorted facts. One of the latest circulating rumors is that PM Lee on the 20 March has issued directives ordering a full lock-down of the island nation. The rumor brazenly claimed that PM Lee was set to appear on a LIVE telecast at 8pm.

The government has came forward to set the record straight. They have told Singaporeans that there is no plans to implement any form of a full lock down in the near future. Also they have told Singaporeans that there PM Lee was not addressing the nation tonight.

Singaporeans who were one of those who received the rumors must dismiss it.

All Singaporeans should rely only on trusted sources for the daily information feed. The best and most credible source would be to hear the live video updates direct by Minister Lawrence Wong which has been uploaded online and social media regularly.

News circulating on whatsapp and SMS must be treated lightly unless it is directly linked to a site which has trusted information sources.

Online rumors such as the one below mentioning a case of Wuhan Virus near the Woodlands SMRT have been debunked as false. POFMA which protects against fake news and falsehoods online have been issued to various individuals and media groups to correct such news.
