With $500 to invest, we have decided to invest ALL the $500 into EASTSPRING MONTHLY INCOME PLAN M @ $0.885 for a total of 565 units.

This Unit trust we have decided on has been paying regular dividends of almost 5 cents a year on a monthly basis since 2005. That is a very stable and sustainable payout rate in our opinion. Each month we will receive $0.004 per unit held. Once a year on each February the payout would be 50% higher at $0.006 per unit. This translates to a yearly yield of 5.64%.

At this Stage we have increased our passive income per month to $5.81. When we add this sum to our $500 monthly we set aside for investment we now have $505.81 in total each month to invest. Compounding interest at this stage has raised our monthly sum available for investment by almost 1.2% from $500 to $505.81.

First thing is to begin with a game plan. As an average Joe who makes up the backbone of the Singapore economy the first priority is to create an income producing portfolio that will ultimately replace any income which requires work hours so that the ultimate objective to retire will be achieved. For this month's Contribution of $500 we have decided to invest it with FIDELITY CHINA HIGH YIELD A-MINCOME(G)-SGD (HEDGED) @ $0.9563 a Unit for total of 522 units

We chose this Unit trust because it Pays a monthly Dividend which will provide liquidity and comes with an annual yield of 8.47%.
